Top Acupuncturist Can Treat Infertility Without
Costly Drugs or Surgery

Few things in life are more heart rendering than finding that special someone, then discovering that you can't create your dream family due to infertility.  And as women pursue careers and wait longer to start families, the rate of infertility continues to rise.

Dr. Xiuling Ma, Ph.D., O.M.D., L.Ac., one of the world's most highly educated practitioners of acupuncture and herbology, can treat many of the conditions that cause infertility in a safe and gentle manner.  Using Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dr. Ma treats infertility without use of the strong, sometimes painful-to-administer drugs or surgery that Western medicine prescribes.  Using sterilized, disposable needles and specially formulated herbal remedies, Dr. Ma can treat blocked tubes and lack of ovulation or menstruation in women, and low sperm count and low sperm motility in men.  Dr. Ma has a more than 70% success rate treating infertility in both women and men.  And treatment with herbs and acupuncture is often substantially less expensive than treatment with Western medical methods.  One round of in vitro fertilization can cost approximately $10,000, for example.  A typical office visit to Dr. Ma, including herbs, would run $125.

Esme Rabinowitz, 45, is a living, breathing testament to the effectiveness of herbs and acupuncture to treat infertility.

"I decided to try to get pregnant at the age of 44," says Rabinowitz.  "Because of my advanced age, I immediately made an appointment with one of the top infertility specialists in the city.  I had heard that most regular OB/GYNs weren't necessarily familiar with the very latest in infertility treatment, and that women who went that route wound up wasting a lot of time.

"So I went to this infertility specialist, who immediately started me on pergonal, a very strong fertility drug.  This drug was extremely expensive and needed to be administered by painful daily shots.  Right after I started on the medicine I noticed that I began to gain weight, and became quite moody as well.

"However, I did get pregnant right away.  Then, at six weeks, I miscarried.

"The doctor told me to wait two months, when I could try again.  So after a two-month wait period I went back to administering the painful pergonal shots.   And once again I began gaining weight, and getting moodier and moodier.  I would cry at the drop of a hat or yell at people for no reason.  I endured three more months of this treatment without conceiving, when I decided that I had had enough.

"An acquaintance had given me a card of a local acupuncturist, and I decided to give that a try.  I just couldn't stand the side effects of the infertility medicine, in addition to the enormous expense.

"I made an appointment with the acupuncturist, who felt my pulse and looked at my tongue.  Didn't seem very scientific, I must admit, but I knew I did not want to go back on the drugs.

"She had me lie on a table, and then she inserted small, fine needles at various points in my body.  It didn't hurt - in fact, when she removed the needles a half an hour later, I felt very calm and relaxed.  She also prescribed some herbs for me to take at home.  Sometimes they were in pill form, and sometimes they were in the form of loose herbs which I brewed into tea.

"I  honestly didn't know if this method would work, but I felt much better about putting only natural substances into my body, as opposed to harsh, toxic drugs.  The only side effects I experienced were a wonderful feeling of well-being after each acupuncture session.

"That same month, I once again tried to get pregnant.

"And two weeks later, when my period was due, I took a home pregnancy test.  It was positive!  I am now eight months pregnant, due to give birth in August."
